Drop in anchor bolts or drop in anchors are heavy duty mechanical expansion anchors, widely used to anchor and fix the objects in concrete, masonry or solid brick wall substrate, consisting of anchor body cut crossing groove and a conical steel plug inside. For installing, To hammer the plug into anchor body with the setting tool from threaded end and to expand the another end with crossing groove to tighten bolt or stud for fixing. Steel drop in anchors are made by carbon steel or stainless less materials.
The round and smooth surface of drop in anchor allows more surface area to touch with hole wall in the base materials providing consistent retention value. The bearing capacity and tensile strength of the bolt for fixing the objects mainly depend on properly embedded depth of drop in expansion anchor and ensure anchor body to be fully expanded in the substrate.
[Product Features]:
■ Specially designed conical built-in steel plug achieve expansion function.
■ The unthreaded end is cut crossing groove to ensure to be completely expanded.
■ Pre-insert a thin plastic sheet to lock steel plug and prevent it from falling down.
■ Fasten various sizes of bolts, studs or threaded rods to achieve flexible fixture thickness.
■ Anchor threaded end is flush with the substrate surface after removal of the fixtures.
■ Remove the fixture leave anchor body undisturbed.
■ Suitable for medium-heavy duty loading installation purpose.
■ Use special setting tool to install drop in anchors.
[Materials & Surface treatment]:
☞ Carbon steel & ZP, ZYP
☞ Stainless steel 304-316.
[Base Materials]: ☑ Concrete ☑ Masonry ☑ Brickwork ☑ Solid wall ☑ Stone
[Applications]:
☑ Railing,special door industry,wall panel.
☑ Installation of interval signs, handrails, railings, shelves ,wood plate, wall hanger, bracing, shelving and gates.
☑ Installation of console grating and fence and heavy machinery location installing.
☑ Pipe installation engineering / pipe support.
☑ Temporary work such as steel truss for platform safety rings & brickwork structure.
☑ Installation of banister starter bars for structural expansion, stadium seats and rectification works.
☑ Steel building structural expansion and rectification works.
☑ To fix and connect the threaded rod.
☑ Fix air ducts, cable tray, trunking, mechanical pumps and electrical switch gear.
[Installation Instruction]:
① Drill a hole in the base material to ensure the proper diameter and depth required.
② Use a nylon brush to remove all debris and dust.
③ Hammer anchor body into the drilled hole till threaded end is flush with substrate surface.
④ Hit the built-in steel plug with setting tool until the shoulder meets the top of anchor body.
⑤ Tighten the bolt or other fasteners to fix and install the objects.
